The Backup Failed

Question
-
This AM I have the following error message displaying on an XP Pro system attached to my WHS.
Message: "The Backup Failed - The backup failed because your computer restarted while backup was runing."
To my knowledge, the computer did not restart during the night (It was sitting on the desktop and not awaiting for password imput, system is password protected)
I tried running a manual backup, It started and a few seconds later failed again with the above message. I did a reset of the console which did not make a difference.
Any suggestions on fixing problem will be appreaciated.

Is there anything showing in the event logs on the XP box?
did you install anything or change configuration on the XP box last night?

I did not check the event logs, but will do it in the AM. I did do some Windows updates and some did not install. Will find out which ones failed.Friday, March 7, 2008 5:30 AM

Did not find anything in the log files of interest. I realy think it's related to the data problems MS is working on. On the plus side, this computer has tons of old data but it is not used except for email. I backed up the email and did a restore from WHS. All is well now and I did a manual backup after the restore and it backed up fine.Sunday, March 9, 2008 6:09 AM

YES... I am not crazy http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsHomeServer/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2614094&SiteID=50
I am now getting the Microsoft Error Report creation caused by the backup service. If someone tell me how to read these error files and/or where they are for the error report i will post the contents.
I tried all the troubleshooting, reinstall of all the versions of .NET still same message.

It's back????
This AM the backup failed message returned. In viewing the backups the console said the backup completed OK. Guess I'll wait and see what tomorrow looks like
