validation error message when trying to update driver RRS feed

  • Question

  • I got an error message while trying to update my Intel graphics driver: 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family.  I'm running genuine XP Home Edition and have gone thru all required updates.   Is there a special custom update I must doalso.  Just wanna play computer games with my kids, like Pirates of the Caribbean and Wizards 101 online.  Need my OS to be able to validate the driver I already have on my computer and it doesn't seem to want to!  Please advise, thank you.

  • Just wanna play,

A review of your mgadiag report shows that both the XP Home and the Office 2003 Small Biz installed on your Dell Dimension 4700 computer are Genuine.

Since the purpose of the forum is to assist those having trouble with WGA/OGA, as far as the forum is concerned you are Good to Go.

If you ae receiving error messages that relate to Genuine Advantage, please post back with more info because as far as I can tell you should be fine.

If your trouble is limited to the driver update, I would suggest trying to update the driver directly from the driver downloads page for your exact computer at the Dell support site.

Navigate to support.dell.com, click on the Looking for Drivers and Downloads link, enter your Service Tag number and you will be taken to the page that has all the current drivers for your exact computer.
