Live One Care on Server 2008 with Hyper-V RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am planning to Install Server 2008 with Hyper-V on a New 64bit Intel Quad Four Machine.
I going to use the Hyper-V components to launch virtual macjhine for Training and for Domain Migration
    testing.
I wanted to Know if I can use Microsoft Live One Care for My Virus Scanner on the Host Machine?
It is less expensive than other Solutions.
Anyone Know if It will Run on Server 2008??

  • OneCare for Server will install and run on 64 bit Windows Server 2008. However, do be aware that OneCare, including OneCare for server will no longer be available for purchase after late 2009, though active subscriptions will be supported through their end of term or the end of 2010, whichever comes first.
Also, the client/retail version of OneCare available from the main page at http://onecare.live.com as a free 90 day trial, will not work on any Server SKU. It will only work on XP 32 bit and Vista 32 or 64 bit.
