recover the deleted file from win 2003

  unforunetly one access(mdf) file is deleted from my win2003, it very important file. But i cant recover the file, I dont know whether it is deleted or replace or cut from that place, But file is not there on the particular folder, while i use the file scanvenger recovery software, It will give only the already available file in my system, not listed that deleted file. how do i get the deleted file list., If anybody help me to recover the file. and one more thing how do i find out that whether the file or deleted or cut from the place or what happened on the particular time.
