Programmatically create Azure node templates RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a customer who is using SP1 functionality and they want to get rid of all their powershell scripts and just programmatically create jobs, tasks, node templates/groups.

I looked through the SP1 samples but could not find an example of programmatically creating nodes, node templates etc. Their plan is to burst this out to Azure.

  • You can write simple powershell script. For example, i wrote recently PS-script that gets such statistics as "processId-CPUUsage-MemoryUsage", had put it to the Task Manager. Every 5 minutes script launches and sends the information to my C# web-service that writes it to SQL server database.

  • Thanks for the answer.

I'm looking for a way to do this without invoking some PS script because having to go out to PS to do something and then come back to C# creates a bit of a disconnect for my customer.  Why would there be a way to do this with PS and not through the API?
