How can I get the webserver setup that windows homeserver has for Vista RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have tried an evaluation of Window Home Server and I really like the webserver feature allowing for remote access from anywhere.

I would like to know if it is possible to get the same Webserver running on a Windows Vista machine that is running Windows Media Center? My Windows Media Center machine has all my content locally so I am not interested in a second server running Windows Home Server.

    Thanks in advance

  • The Windows Home Server Remote Access web site is a component of the larger Windows Home Server product. There is no way to break it out and install it separately under another operating system.

So the answer to your question is "no".

I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
