Image uploader broken? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is the image uploader broken? I've uploaded 2 pictures yesterday in my first reply in this topic:

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w8itproperf/thread/fa1cea79-4e46-4d90-a16d-7005bc4af71d

But they are not shown. When I edit the post and look at the HTML, I can see the code is still there.

  • I see both images broken in that thread. Can you try uploading them again just to confirm it's indeed a bug.

    I can't see them:

but I have the issue you've also reported. There is no indication who marked the answer. I can't find the topic where you reported this.

  • My other problem is reported in this thread

    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/reportabug/thread/6862b448-1e9a-4b6d-a93c-8545794907a3

and a thread referenced in that. I also asked a question when we can expect this and other bug fixed (it should be at the top of Forum's issues).

So, you can reply in both threads and you can also send your case to fissues and ask them about this problem. I sent 3 emails to them today already with 3 examples of the problem. Every day 3-7 of my answers get marked without a history and credit to me. It usually happens at my night time lately (e.g. it seems like today all my answers were marked OK).

  • I don't see images in IE 9 and in Google Chrome. I haven't checked other browsers.

In this case I get a message that only 2 images are allowed. And I can see that the images are still included in the HTML code.

  • I can't see them. I've tried Firefox and Opera.

When I try to add them again, I get the error that only 2 pictures are allowed. I've posted a pictures, hosted it in my dropbox and linked it so that you can see what I see. And I can't see the pictures.

  • I re-checked that thread http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w8itproperf/thread/fa1cea79-4e46-4d90-a16d-7005bc4af71d in Google Chrome and both images show as broken image icon. I do not see the actual images.

  • Andre,

Try posting your message again but this time using the actual images on your computer, not links to dropbox.

  • I can't see the images on that thread, but all the images in this thread come in for me.

I've had problems in IE where I need to click "Show Picture". I don't have that problem in Chrome.

    Thanks!

I've only used dropbox in this topic, so that I can be sure the picture is displayed correctly. I was uploading the Images here in the forum with the image unloader.

  • I've deleted the old pictures from the HTML code and uploaded them again. I'll watch what happens.

  • yes, the new uploaded pictures are now ok. The old pictures seam to be deleted for an unknown reason.
