unable to add user in MS CRM 4.0 UI of different domain RRS feed

  • in MSCRM UI of a server ......im able to add users of same domain with which i installed MSCRM  but not able to add users of other domains

    PLEASE HELP ME IN RESOLVING THIS

  • It's by design that you can't add users from different domain. What's happening in the background is adding the user to the groups in AD. a user from different domain can't be added to those groups.

    Please correct me if I am wrong.

  • Might be worth taking a look at the implementation guide 4.1 for MS CRM on p.64

     

    ·         For users who access Microsoft Dynamics CRM from another domain, a one-way trust must exist in which the domain where the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server is located trusts the domain where the users are located.

     

    Note

    If you are not using the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connector for SQL Server Reporting Services, a two-way trust is required for users in other domains to run reports successfully

  • You can add users into CRM from a different domain provided there is a two way trust between both domains
