Windows Version says Not Valid but it is RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need help.  My PC has been acting strange for the past few weeks.  I've run several antivirus and malware scans, but nothing shows up.  The Microsoft products on my PC came with it when I bought my HP PC several years ago.  Today I noticed something at the bottom of the screen stating it was not an authentic copy. Perhaps this explains why Excel and Word files don't open unless I first open the program itself.  I ran a diagnostic and need help trying to fix this.  I don't know where the product keys are hiding as I haven't needed them since I set this computer up.

I can't paste my report into this forum yet.

  • Copy the report into Notepad, and change the 'http:\\' bits to 'hxxp:\\' - this will break the links, and you will be allowed to copy/paste the new report.
