Visual C# language Forum and Visual Basic language Forum result in Internal Server Error RRS feed

    Hi,

    Title sais all. Its for about 5 hours now... Can anyone confirm or confute?

    I see the same for the Visual Basic Language forum. It is supposed to be retired in a couple of days, perhaps something happened a little too early.

    Hi,

    the VB language forum now seems to be back online. C# language still gives Internal Server Error.

    Now (about 9:33 PM Eastern time) the VB General forum is getting the same error. VB Language is working again as Thorsten reported, and C# Language is still getting the error.

    Although I still get the error in Visual Basic General at 10:33 PM Eastern, I see that someone posted in that forum at 10:10 PM Eastern, so the problem does not seem to be universal.  If it helps, I am using Google Chrome.

    I can access C# General http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/csharpgeneral/threads?locale=en but I am getting an error trying to access C# language forum. However, I see someone answered just 8 minutes ago in that forum.

    Hi Blackwood,

    now all forums exept the VB General work here.

    You can still post to the not working forums when following a link to a single thread of that forum (for instance from notification mails). This thread will show up correctly and you can do everything including posting replies. But you cant ge to the complete-forums-thread-list view.

    All forums I participate show up normal, exept VB general  (pages greater than 1 result in the internal server error.

    The Visual C++ Language forum is also giving an
    "Internal Server Error". Oddly, it only occurs
    on Page 1 of the Forum.

    If you go to Page 2 or 3, etc. it still works.

    This was another forum which is slated to be closed.

    The Visual C++ General forum has been working fine,
    as has the Visual C++ Express forum.

    At 8:55 AM Eastern: I checked the Express, General and Language forums for VB, C# and C++.  VB Express and C++ Language are getting the error, but only on page 1 (thanks for pointing that out Wayne). The others appear to be working.

    Great. As of 15:40 EST Dec 17/12 the VC++ Language forum
    seems to be back to normal. *But* now the VC++ General
    forum is giving the "Internal Server Error"

    On Page 1 only. Page 2, et al work OK.

    Same problem as my last post - different forum.

    today all forums I use show up normally on all pages 'til now. If it continues working good for a couple of days, and nobody posts new problems, I'll mark some replies as answers.

    ... some additional info: maybe that error is in relation to the "Unexpected Error" when posting replies. The error in the c# general forum appeared immediately after I posted a reply to it with getting the "unexpected error". But the message *is* shown online, at least in the statistics (due to the internal server error I cannot see that specific posted message of mine right now):

    Oddly, it only occurs on Page 1 of the Forum.

    Looks like the URL is different depending on how you get there.   Is that--the URL or how you get there--a factor?

    I cannot repro these issues. Appears to be fixed.

    The random "Unexpected Error" issue is a known issue and is being worked on.
