Problem with Windows Vista Home Premium RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Dell Mini Inspiron 910 that I got used. I decided to upgrade it from Windows XP to Windows Vista about two months back. It worked rather smoothly. Recently I have gotten a message saying that the product key I was using was already in use which is "technically" true. By that I mean I had it on a hard drive with an older Dell GX270 until the installation became corrupt due to me installing multiple operating systems on the hard drives. So I figured I'd Google some Microsoft forums because the version of Windows I installed was not a Dell oriented Windows and came here to figure out if I could fix this problem. I know it's doable because my father I think had the same type of problem once before and had to call up Microsoft. We do have another version of Windows Vista that my dad wanted me to use its product key to replace it, but it was used on my sister's old computer and it's still on the hard drive so I would think I'd have the same problem. I also have another copy (I know having Vista is nearly a crime) that my dad got with a computer because it was laying around and was never used, but it was made for Toshiba, so I don't know if it would work or not. So I'm kind of in a stuck position. Any help?
