Help!
to date i have installed, deleted, re-installed onecare on my system to many times to count. Always when the install reboots after loading the only way of knowing onecare services are running is to check in with windows security or check loaded software. this last time actually as i was writing this question a window popped up asking me to give my live id and a green icon appeared in task bar (lower right). However i tried to open onecare and it does the same thing....not responding.... is what i am told. if i check event logs i get logs such as follows from one care:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: WinSS
Event Category: Startup Cleaner
Event ID: 6001
Date: 6/22/2008
Time: 2:40:25 AM
User: N/A
Computer: FRANKENSTEIN
Description:
Successfully updated startup cleaner application policy for binary sprtcmd.exe to version 1.For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
any ideas?

If you have not used the install cleanup tool before reinstalling, uninstall One Care, run the cleanup tool - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=828910&SiteID=2 then reinstall One Care. I've been doing more research and it seems that i also have in commen some actions that have been advised to repair the net framework 2.0 or net 2.0 sp1 but there is no mention of net 3.5 even so I also tried these solutions but to no avail. somrtime i get an icon with baloon saying attention required but interface will not open. I will try support again.
