Sync to area with no internet RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a question, we are using Sync services and one of our stations has no internet at all.
Currently we have a service set up that when a user runs a "create transport to local database",
it creates a client database and syncs it.
Then we zip the mdf and log files and save them to a usb key.
We then take that key to the station with no internet and run a service that attaches the mdf and syncs it to the local database.
Then, because we can not rely on that key coming back, we detach and delete the mdf and log files on the usb key.
The user runs a "create transport back to live database" service,
it creates a client database and syncs it.
Then we zip the mdf and log files and save them to a usb key.
We then take that key to any computer with internet and run a service that uploads the mdf to the live server,
attaches the mdf and syncs it to the server database.

Any suggestions on a more elegant solution? Any ideas on things that may cause grief in the future?
    I greatly appreciate any feedback
