OneCare Windows Update Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just installed OneCare 2.0 on my daughter's laptop.  Everything updated and scanned fine.  But, every time I reboot the computer it tells me that there are missing Windows Updates which must be installed.  When I click to fix them, I am told by Windows Update that there are no updates at this time.  Yet, when I reboot I get the same message.  How can I fix this?  It is a shame, because the other features work well.

  • Please contact support for this. There have been a few reports of similar and it would appear that something is reporting missing updates to OneCare, though a manual visit to WU is not detecting anything missing.

If it fails to validate your subscription, select the option that you are using a trial or beta copy and you can proceed to email support without validation once you've signed in.
