  • Come on, It's hard enough defending Msft after the supposed failure of Vista, and now this? Have the developers there never heard of extensive testing? It is getting a bit ridiculous. I'm not normally this sharp, but getting the stupid GA Validation messge the first time I turn on Server 2008 r2 was the last thing to expect, especially since my copy is the old 7100 beta build and for which winver still displays "Evaluation copy. Expires 01/03/2010 23:59" (Date in European format).

Something tells me that it was an extremely good idea I turned off Auto-Updating on my *legal* copy of 7.

  • Hello Admin Jr,

I 'm not sure if I understand why you are mad.

You appear to be upset that there wasn't any "extensive testing" done because a Beta 2 release of Server 2008 (that expired over a month ago) is getting some sort of Non-Genuine message?

      Did I misread your post?

    Thank you,
