Is there a way to see the counties of an address you added to streets and trips 2009 RRS feed

  • Question

  •  I have been trying to see if there is a way to see the county of an address I entered into streets and trips 2009. If you do not know the county, can streets and trips 2009 tell you. If not can a newer version do that?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Jardman -

Not exactly an 'automated' solution - but did want to let you now that S&T 2011 does show the county lines - along with county name on the map.  This may also be the case with 2009 as well...not sure.

See in the 'Legend and Overview' pane that 'county' shows in the 'Boundaries'.

At the right altitude, the county name becomes readily apparent.

In the example below, I used the technique I mentioned in the post 'Drawing a territory in Streets and Trips ' to hilight a county in CT that I wasn't familiar with - tracing along the county lines.

With a little practice - I think this 'manual' method of determining county affiliation could be workable.

If you get a chance - let me know if you think this will work for your needs.

    Thanks,

    Keith
