Storage space for Archiving server

Question
-
Hi,
I'm looking at implementing a archiving server with the SQL database on the same server for a standard edition OCS 2007 setup with around 500 users.
Just wanted to get a gauge from some people that have set one up as to how much storage is required per user/ per year. I have looked around and i can only find one post that suggests that 30-40Mb per users/per year is required. Just wanted to get more information from people that have it running.

You need to see exactly what data are you trying to Archive ? Do you only want Monitoring Data (Call Detail Records) or you want IM Content Archiving.
You then need to think about the total number of conversations a month.
Also its not a very good idea to store your IM Archiving data on a SE server.- Marked as answer by Gavin-ZhangModerator Friday, November 6, 2009 9:26 AM
