Reedployment of same organization RRS feed

    Hi,

    I have a backup file of old data. I need to get back to that version. Do i need to redeploy? If yes, i restore the <org_name>_MSCRM on the existing CRM database? And in redeployement, how can i keep the same organization name? Also, will the SystemUserIDs change on redeployment?

    it's urgent...

    What i did was Import Organization and choose the backup database i have already restored.

    you can install CRM 3.0 on existing data base .
    while you are installing it you can specify the the Organaisation name same sa database is ,then CRM3.0 will find the data base automatically.

    you have to be sure that the user is administrator in the domain.

    If you want to create a new instance on diff server with the same database.

     

    Then first create a dummy org and then work on import with the same name of the db.

     

    This will take care of all the GUIDs related issue.

     

    But on the same server it is not possible to import with the same org.
