Backup Praise... RRS feed

  • I have a WM6 Smartphone. Just got it on an upgrade from a WM5 phone (invaluable for business use!) so I thought I knew my way round the Windows Mobile platform. Anyway, I managed to import all my sim card settings to the contacts, so I had lots of duplicate entries. Tried to delete all the sim entries - and lost the lot.

Blank phone book.....but I didn't worry, as all I needed to do was re-sync the phone to replace my contacts...Errm....No.

I had the sync settings on *replace items on computer with those from phone*.

My heart actually did miss a beat as I looked at a totally blank Outlook contact folder where over 500 contacts used to live. Blank phone. Blank Outlook.

One Care to the rescue. Took a little finding but I got my .pst file from One Care Backup, imported it and presto!!

Contacts returned to their rightful home on computer AND phone.

    Phew.!

    Big Thank You One Care!
