  • I HAVE COMPLETED MCP 70-536 .NET FRAMEWORK NEXT WHICH CERTIFICATION I NEED TO DO FOR GETTING MCTP.CAN I DIRECTLY WRITE .NET 4.0 CERTIFICATION(WINDOWS/WEB) OR ELSE I NEED TO UPGRADE 3.0 TO 3.5??

  • 70-536 is valid for both the 2.0 and 3.5 certifications. If you wish to take a 4.0 certification, then you can take it directly -- you only need one exam for a MCTS on the Framework 4.0, and 70-536 is not needed in this case. So if you want, for instance, a MCTS:Web developer certification, you have two options:

    - Certify for version 3.5. In this case, you need to take exam 70-562 in addition to 70-536, which you have already passed.

    - Certify for version 4.0. In this case, you only need to take exam 70-515, while 70-536 is not needed at all.
