Wierd link in search results RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, everyone -

I am having trouble with some links in some of the Live search results for my website. The site is http://www.cellbits.com

What is happening is that some of the search results show an address of just  cellbits.com . When this result is clicked, it leads to our home page, but the page's graphics are blocked, as if a hotlinking attempt (which we block) is what is shown. And all other pages selected from that page have missing graphics, too.  Other results, however for other pages show an address of www.cellbits.com    - and those links lead to the correctly displayed pages. Our site offers free cell phone graphics and animations, so it is really a drag that our visitors can't see them (sometimes)?

What's happening? Is the Live Search submission messed up some how, and can it be corrected (quickly)? Or has our listing been hijacked or diverted somehow? Or, is that link somehow leading to a pirated copy of our site?

This may relate to some strange items recently in our traffic logs. We see pages listed and hostnames that aren't ours. Is this related to the above problem? Any ideas and info on how to get the address corrected on the Live Search results would be much appreciated!

  • Never mind! Figured out the problem - a mistake at my end. Seems to be okay now. Delete this thread if you like, moderator.
