CRM 2011 Trying to Connect RRS feed

  • Question

  • Recently migrated CRM 4.0 onpremise to CRM 2011 onpremise.  Currently NOT IFD - using VPN for all remote folks.  Every time I reboot my machine (and a few others) we receive a message of "CRM trying to connect".  It never does.  Must go in to config wizard, delete current org (there is only 1), add it back, then launch as if it was the first time.

Intermittent error but seems to be tied to reboots of machine.  Any ideas folks?

  • Update on this issue.  It seems when I look at Outlook 2010 x64 add-ins, there are (2) crmaddin.dlls.  My issue occurs when only 1 of the crmaddin.dll loads.  If I close Outlook, delete the org in the configuration wizard, reconfigure, then relaunch Outlook, CRM works fine.  And when I look in Outlook addins -= I have (2) crmaddin.dl loaded.

    a) should I have (2) crmaddin.dll's? There is only 1 actual .dll file in the folder c:/program files/microsoft dynamics crm/Client/bin/crmaddin.dll

  • Has any one else ran into this issue or have you found an answer?  I have a client with Outlook 2011 x32 that just started hanging on CRM trying to connect.  I know we are still on rollup one. No one else in my company is having connection issues.

  • I had two dll entries as well. My problem is different, but I deleted both addins, then went to control panel-Uninstall/change programs-Microsoft Crm and then repair. This time only one dll file appearead in addins. Did not fix my problem, but at least there is only one now.
