  • Hi Jimmy,

First of all - add RAM to your machine if you'd like to use the Outlook client :). And secondly - do you have one or more Outlook profiles set up to use the Dynamics CRM for Outlook? If you have more, please remember that you may only have one profile for the offline Outlook client. And the third possible reason - isn't your user in the "Administrative" Access Mode in CRM (check on the user's form).

    I hope that will help,

  • Hi,

Please run the diagnostics tool in order to see what's going on and possibly have the problem fixed. The Diagnostic tool is available from your Start menu / Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 / Diagnostics. When you run the tool, you will be able to see what happened and it may suggest the solutions or even fix the problems with CRM Outlook client for you.

Once you run the tool, see what are the errors and let us know.

    Best regards,
    Kuba

  • Kuba:

You are right, in some cases I have found more than 1 profile for Outlook, I deleted the profiles and re-did the config process. Now the CRM client can pass the synchronization process, but freeze when trying to load the customer interface, I think it must be because the machines dont have the minimum RAM required. We are in process to add more to those machines...by the way, all the users have FULL access Mode in CRM.

    Thanks, very much

  • Hi Tiaan,

I Will be, but it seems that RollUp is not the problem, i have some user configured and working fine with rollup 3

  • Jimmy,

Check the things I described - especially whether you have more than one profile configured to use the Outlook client, as this problem looks like you had more than one profile set up.

  • Hi,

I'm happy you sorted it all out and fixed the problems. There may be different reasons why the CRM add-in freezes. I would suggest updating with the newest upgrades and again, trying the Diagnostics on the machines that freeze.

    Kind regards,
    Kuba
