  • I need patch for Windows Professional 2000....
I hate this OS... It doesn't support drivers for the Multimedia Audio Controller, PCI Device,
    and Video Controller.

It's throwing me errors: "Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration. Error code: 88780078".

    Any Advice?

Unfortunately, you post if off topic to this forum.  This forum assists Microsoft customers who are experiencing Windows Genuine Advantage-related issues with their computers.

May I suggest a hardware forum such as Toms Hardware, or a general Windows 2000 forum such as http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/win2000?

Good luck in getting your problem fixed!

Your post seems a little confused......

As far as I can see, there is no real problem with either activation or validation on your Windows XP Home installation on that machine.

What actual validation/activation related problem are you experiencing?
DETAILS are important – such as what you are attempting to do when you get the error message, and the EXACT wording of the message.
