Convert Campaign Response to Lead - Existing account RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using campaigns extensively in our CRM Online environment.  The process is:

    Schedule the campaign

    Record the responses

Where we are getting hung up is what to do after we get the response.  We have already captured the Account Name, Contact, Address, etc from the campaign response - when we convert the campaign response to a lead - it basically asks us to re-enter all of the data (Account Name, Company Name).  Is there a way to automate this so the information is copied over automatically?

    The ideal workflow/business process is:

    Create a campaign called webinar

Record the campaign responses for those who registered

After the webinar is completed, take those who attended and convert them into leads for follow up

    ___

    Any suggestions on this process?

  • When you say record the response how is this being recorded?

Do mean from a web form?

  • Have you customised your Campaign Response entity / form at all?

If you enter the company name, last name and first name (and any other details) in here then "Convert" the response using the Ribbon button and choose "new Lead" (not existing) then these fields should be mapped through to the new record. If this is not working then something is definitely wrong.

    Hope this helps.
