Invalid Office 2007? WGA diagnostic data in post RRS feed

  • Question

  • New laptop I got a few weeks ago from Best Buy which inlcuded a trial version of Office 2007.  Getting message that it was soon to expire, I clicked to purchase and was directed online to what I thought was Microsoft online store.  After purchasing, downloading and activating it I logged on to download the PDF writer portion that I needed to convert my documents to PDF and in the validation process got message that the validation failed and I likely had invalid product so it then would not allow me to get the PDF writer.  Looking at the email with the product key the email was from "trymicrosoftoffice.com"  I feel totally scammed and need the PDF writer to convert my documents. Is this truly invalid software?  How can this happen and what can I do???  If so, I feel like disputing the credit card  payment as I think I was a victim of fraud.
