How do you find a users actual location with simple web request? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can someone please help me?
Firstly I should mention that I am writting a web service using C# and ASP.NET that responds according to the users location.
I know about System.Globalization and CultureInfo objects and it's possible to find the users country info according to their browsers settings, but what I would like to know is it possible to find out where a users actual location is? What I mean by that is how can you determine wether or not I'm in Adelaide, Australia or New York, USA? Is it possible with the HTTP Request object? or is there some other method I need to use?
I've explored a few avenues of information but none are close to what I want.

Any help will be greatfully appreciated.
    Thanx Mick.
