Another Validation Problem (Windows is already activated, but WGA says it is not) RRS feed

  • Question

  • After upgrading to the lastest Nvidia video drivers for my system three days ago, I get a message stating that I need to activate my copy of Windows. However, according to my system properties, my copy of Windows is already activated. My copy was activated several weeks ago when I loaded Vista...

From the WGA page when I try to validate my copy of Vista:

Windows must be activated before validation can determine if this copy of Windows is genuine.

  • Could I ask you to try to phone activate and then revalidate again by clicking "Validate Windows" here: www.microsoft.com/genuine

You can get started with phone activation by typing "slui 4" in the search field in the Start Menu and pressing Enter.  Then follow the prompts, and please speak with a customer service rep when you're given the option.  Thank you!
