Screen Saver and Power Management stopped working. But works again if I disconnect my Microsoft wireless mouse/keyboard dongle. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Windows vista home premium 32 bit in a Gateway PC. Everything worked fine until around the end of December I noticed my screensaver wasn't coming on and my monitor never shuts off as it was set up to do. Another forum suggested the mouse issue (for a laptop) so I tried disconnecting it and everything worked ok.  Tried reinstalling the drivers, no joy. So am I religated to buying another Keyboard and mouse or is there a software/registry ........fix of some sort.  The computer is just 2 years old , the Keyboard is a Microsoft Wireless ComfortKey 1.0A, Mouse is Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0.

    Any Ideas?
