Monitoring process communications with SCOM/Powershell RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

I've been trying to figure out how to monitor the network utilization of a certain process with SCOM (with PS or similar.) and I can't seem to find anyone with the exact same problem so I'm asking the question here in hopes that someone can help.

What I have is a bunch of agent processes that actively communicate with four central servers (in a round robin fashion). These agents and servers are discovered by SCOM in our current MP.

When something is running slow on the agents we'd like the ability to view the network usage of the agent process to make sure that it isn't the culprit.

My question is: Can this be achieved through powershell or any other monitors that we can integrate in our management pack?

Thank you for your feedback! :)

  • Oh ofc, I'm sorry.

I figured it'd be mostly related to scripting and that this was the place for those kinds of questions :)

    Thanks for responding!
