Windows 2003 Server running slow to client machines running DHCP RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a server housing some HR software, Time Card software, and some user docs consiting of mostly pictures and videos. We had a problem that started about a week ago where anyone connecting to this particular server with a Dynamic IP address is connecting extremely slow. In most cases the programs time out. This also affects the picture and video files running in preview panels and just opening in general. However, in trouble shooting we tried to setup the machine up as Static IP and the problem disappears and everything runs great. I have checked the server for the following issues. Replaced Network Cable, Tried a different port in the swith, Restarted, Ran AV and Malware Bytes, Restarted routers and switches, checked the network card for dropped packets (none), and went through the event viewer and found no errors. We do have a router handling the DHCP address assignment and it looks to be functioning with no issues. We have 15 servers and this is the only server that is experiencing any issues within the dynamic IP addresses. Any suggestions at what to try from here would be much appreciated??
