WHS notification says backup did not run but it actually did - why?

  At 5:30 a.m. on January 9th WHS issued a notification that
  
  TT {font-family="Courier New"} BLOCKQUOTE.CITE {padding-left:0.5em; margin-left:0; margin-right:0; margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0; border-left:"solid 2";}

  "DIGITAL has not been successfully backed up since 1/8/2009. Ensure that DIGITAL is turned on and connected to you network, or use "Backup Now" to back it up manually."
  
  When I checked the WHS console backup status I found that the backup on "Digital" did run successfully.
  
  This "false" notification happens periodically.
  
  Does anyone know why this happens?
