Synchronizing Ressources with AD problems

Question
-
Hi all,
brand new week, brand new question: I've set my MSPS to synchronize a specific AD group ("FCT_Projektserver") as Resources. This works... with odds. Initially, I've had only one other AD-group added to the synchronized group that contained all the IT people. That worked pretty well.
Now I wanted to add the development and production staff, too. Figuring I could simply include their groups in my FCT_Projektserver-group and have them synchronized, I did that. Strangely enough, that did not work. Neither did adding an AD user account directly to the group. The resources don't change.
What am I doing wrong?
/edit: Also a manual synchronization doesn't work either.- Edited by Mike Dee Monday, September 19, 2011 7:47 AM

Okay, I found the solution. I had added the CE field "Team Name" to the Resources in MSPS as a mandatory field. The field has no counterpart in AD and apparently Project Server did not really like that. I removed the mandatory-attribute and Resource-synchronization works like a charm.

Hi Mike,
There could be some issue with MMC snap in (“Active Directory Users and Computers” (dsa.msc) MMC snap-in, find the group to sync and if so, are the users listed under members tab?). Wouls suggest to look into the article by Christophe to troubleshoot the ad issues

hi,
I just want ask that whether u have AD group of development and production staff added as member of FCT_Projektserver Ad group rite.
Also u have to adddevelopment and production AD group in the required group like team lead or PM in Manage group section. Also add the FCT_Projektserver in AD synchronization in project server 2010.
I believe it should work.

Hi!Yes, those two groups are added as subgroups to the synchronized group "FCT_Projektserver". I'm not sure I understand the rest of your advice, though. Could you clarify it a bit for me, please?
