How can I mirror a Windows 2003 Server to another Windows 2003 Server? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I currently have an HP Netserver ML350 G3 - Windows 2003 Server ( Standard Version ) with 6 SCSI drives running in a raid configuration. I have a backup Server ML350 - G4 that I have in case the file server crashes. How can I set up a mirror from the online File Server G3 to mirror to the backup file server G4 so that if the online file server crashes, I can unplug it and the backup server takes its place?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You.

  • I also have the same question. I just had an out of warrantee server crash (Domain Controller) and it took me 6 days to get it back up and running correctly (worst case scenarios in reality). We are going to purchase 2 servers so we can have a backup in place and I need to mirror/cluster it. We don't have the cash to purchase an external drive system, so I need to know how to have 2 duplicate servers running.

Have you received any answers to your question?
