Yes. Shure. We both did no mistake. Your guidance is 100% oki. Everything is supported by your huge experience and a deep knowledge and understanding of the relationships in the system.
What I did in the meanwhile: I downloaded the ...cd version of the Intel drivers because it contained German language. (I thought it could be valuable for me, because of my German mother tongue). This software installed, too. During installation installer sent a message like "removing old drivers" (which, I think, cannot be true, because I checked your version an the ...cd version- both are the same versions). Anyway.
The utility asked for restart. I did. After restart I tried MS update and... still now (since 30 minutes) it is looking for updates.. we will see what happens.
What do you think? I, at least, will wait for the update result. And then I will run the proposed checkSUR program, before you help me to do a repair, oki?

This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers -
Installing the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=22194
(you want the iata_enu.exe download)
Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.

Thank you for the idea. The software told me: "uncompatible Hardware". It did not install.

In that case, try the set for the older technology....

(IATA89ENU.exe)

Yes, I did. Good idea. The software installed error free. The 0xc... error disappeared. But the update function is still not working.
cu! p.s. how can I attach an MSGDIAD report for you?

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
- **in your own thread**, pleaseYou may have to remove the lines containing http:// links, as the forum doesn't allow new posters to post links.

Since the list of file mismatches is actually the full list of files covered by the system, it's obvious that the problem lies not with the files themselves, but with something else - either the system, or one of the control files.
please try the following.....
Recreate the Licensing Store with the correct data.
1) Open an Internet Browser window.
2) Type: %windir%\system32 into the browser address bar.
3) Find the file CMD.exe
4) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
5) Type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
6) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
7) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
8) Type: cd %windir%\system32
9) Type: net start slsvc
10) Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient)
11) Restart your computer twice.
You may be asked to enter your COA Key and/or Activate. – if asked for the Key, use the one on your COA sticker on the machine’s case (you may need to activate by telephone).
Once complete, run another MGADiag report and post back with the results.

That sounds as if the TrustedInstaller service isn't running?
run the following commands in an ELevated Command Prompt, and we'll see...
NET START TRUSTEDINSTALLER
SC QC TRUSTEDINSTALLER
SC QUERYEX TRUSTEDINSTALLER
Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

You should see mine! :)
Please attempt validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate - what happens?
attempt the diagnostics, at www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag - does it tell you anything?

oki, I tried attempt one and didn't leave the page for 24hours...nothing happened except of two small rings turning round with the message not to leave the page.
And then I tried the diagnostics which told me at once: I should run the validation first.
mmmhhh
Any other idea? You will come into the hall of fame and get a monument in case you find a solution for me and my computer.....

That sounds as if there is a firewall or something in the way.
What Security software are you using? What other Ant-Virus programs have EVER been installed on this machine?

... I have avira installed. And before I had MS Security essentials. avira runs errorfree. I am in discussion with oem support and I am not shure to loose all data during re-installing the oem system. So I do nothing except of hoping for a splendid idea...

A repair install done properly will not lose either data or installed programs - although some settings will be reset to default.
I'm trying to work out which AV is currently installed - is it MSE or Avira?
What other AV's have EVER been installed on this machine??

Avira is currently installed. MSE was installed and its previous version (I forgot the name... a sign with a wall..). I threw out both because I didn't want a conflict between them and Avira. These actions took place before the cloning. What do you think?

Sunday, October 13, 2013 10:31 AM -
Windows Defender is installed by default in Vista - and Avira should turn it off when it installs.
MSE actually is different to Defender - which is not an anti-virus at all - and again, turns the normal Defender off (but in this case by supercedence, rather than a switch)
Residuals from MSE are pretty much non-existant, and can be ignored assuming the uninstall went smoothly.
I can't believe we've got this far through the thread without me asking you to do this....
Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following command...
REGSVR32 wintrust.dll
reboot twice, run another MGADiag report, and post the results.

Still the same :(
Please run the following commands in an Elevated Command Prompt
NET STOP CRYPTSVC
REN C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CATROOT2 CATROOT2OLD
NET START CRYPTSVConce complete, leave the system alone for at least an hour to rebuild the database, then reboot, and run another MGADiag report.
Note that this may delete your Update History - but all updates will remain installed, and can be viewed in the Installed Updates listing.Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC | The Three-toed Sloth

It may be more useful to have a listing of the current folder content, and a couple of other relevant folders.
DIR C:\Windows\System32\catroot2
DIR C:\ Windows\System32\WBEM\*.
Let's also have a looks at the crypto services...
SC QC CRYPTSVC
NET START CRYPTSVC
SC QUERYEX CRYPTSVC
Also...
Please download and save the CheckSUR tool from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
(you'll need to look in the details for Windows 7, downloading from the Microsoft Download Center)
Run it - The tool can take anywhere from 5 mins to a couple of hours to run (or 'Install') depending on how much it has to do, and may exit silently - it may appear to freeze for most of that time, but be patient.
The result is logged in the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log file - and an archive …\checksur.persist.log file
Then zip the CheckSUR.log and upload it to your SkyDrive Public folder so I can take a look - post a link in your reply.

After surfing through different blogs: what do you think of wrong intel drivers (I cloned my disc to 1TB) causing this strange result?

That's what I asked you to install in my first (and second) response?
We've now tried all the thing which normally fix this problem - with only a partial fix (we cured the initial major error but haven't been able to solve the deeper crypto issue) - There is nothing wrong with the Cryptography service as such, but there is certainly a cryptographics error somewhere in the system.
The error that you got from running CheckSUR is one that I would associate with the problems that the fixes we've already tried are designed to fix.
In the past, the next step is to attempt a repair install - but this is not as easy a proposition in Vista as it is in Windows 7, especially when SP2 is installed, as there are no 'legal' downloads of Vista with SP2 embedded.
Having said that I do believe it will be the quickest solution if it works. - see here for a good set of instructions...
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html
See what you think - I'm happy to try and isolate the cause if you are - but it will take time, and we may end up having to do the repair anyhow.

Yes.
And then I will run the proposed checkSUR program, before you help me to do a repair, oki?
cu!

YAY!
Now that IS a surprise, and something I shall have to look out for in future. I was under the impression that the IRST drivers were language-independent, but I was obviously mistaken..
Well done! - everything looks fine, now.

You will come into the hall of fame and get a monument! You found a solution for me and my computer!
THANK YOU!
You found that solution just right at the beginning of my stress and soul desaster. Yes. Before I put my question here I had to solve some other problems and had to try tools that I did not understand from people who I did not know of software that did not work, of companies that saw a new business immediately ... and then you came right away with your proposal to install the appropriate drivers. And this was the solution.
And I learned a lot for life!
