CD Files on Windows XP RRS feed

    I understand that every time I play a CD on my PC's Windows Media Player (music or video), all these files are stored somewhere.
    I would like to know how to locate these files and how to permanently delete them (overwite them) on my PC.
    Can you help?

    Your question is not related to Microsoft Security Essentials so should not have been posted here.

    However, since you ask:

    No, if you just play an audio CD in WMP the files are not stored on your PC. However if you tell WMP to rip the CD (which means transfer the files to my PC), then they are stored (either as mp3 or wav or wma files, depending on the settings for the rip). By default WMP will create an album folder in your My documents/My music folder and place them there, but again, you can change that in the Rip settings.
