HPC Pack About - Server Version vs Client Version RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I look at my HPC Pack About tool.  It shows different versions between the Server and Client.  Does one version refer to the current server while the other refers to the head node?

    Server Version: 3.2.3716.0

    Client Version: 4.5.5079.0

    Thanks,

    Tiffany

  • Hi Tiffany,

As far as I am aware, the "Server Version" is what version of HPC Pack the head node is running, and the "Client Version" is what version of the client software you have installed on your local computer.

For example, I have a head node on a remote computer running HPC Pack 2016 Update 1 (5.1.6086.0), and my local computer has the HPC Pack 2016 Update 2 client utilities (5.2.6277.0):

After looking up your version numbers I can see that you have a head node running HPC Server 2008 R2, and a client with a HPC Pack 2012 R2 Update 3 client software package.
