I've been running WHS since the early betas and have been quite happy with it. What I'm trying to do now is integrate my wife's laptop with my network so that she can access the shares on the WHS. It's a work laptop and part of a domain, so the rest of the PC's in my LAN don't appear in her Network Neighborhood. I've set up Remote Access and she can get to the shares via the web interface, but she's not a fan of that interface. Is there a way I can map the shares to a drive letter on her laptop, or something?
Yes. Open My Computer > tools> map network drive. Browse to the share that you want to map (e.g. \<hername>), click 'Connect using a different user name', and enter a username & password that exists on the WHS, and is allowed access to that share. Make sure that 'reconnect at logon' is ticked, and hit OK.-Chris
