Close to renewal, moved to another country not selling Live One Care and the Billing wont accept my CC RRS feed

    I bought my Live One Care in US, moved to another country and took my PC with me. Renewal will soon be coming up, so I wanted to change to my new CC. The system will not accept it, and from other messages it is because it is a Non US CC. As I want to renew my subscription for Live One Care, I seem to be stock due to a number of things:

    1. I do not want to Live One Care in my local language, prefer english
    2. Live One Care is not for sale in Denmark,
    3. Billing will not accept my danish credit card
    4. Billing do not accept PayPal

    So what do I do? I have tried to access the support to place my question, using you description in FAQ, but did not succeed. The support windows will not accept my Subscription Id, it will not even allow me to type in any Product Id, even if it shows the window for it but immediatly goes to a page with no options. I have a Windows LiveId different from the one I subscribed Live One Care with, but I even made a Windows LiveId again with the old e-mail, but that do not help either, the system cannot get the information from Live One Care.

     

    Life seems to be a bit difficult here. Can you help me getting out of this mess, as I only want to continue using Live One Care on my PC. Is there an e-mail address I can send my questions to direct, as I seems not to be able to report my problem using the normal channel??

    The workaround for this issue is to purchase a One Care CD from an online retailer and use the product key to renew your One Care subscription.

    Living in Denmark where Live One Care is not sold from MS, it is a bit difficult for me to by a CD. Even if I buy it in US, it will have to be mailed to Denmark etc. Will be a bit expensive. Is it possible to buy it on-line instead? and do you know a web-site?

    A One Care CD is available at Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-C7S-00135-Windows-Live-OneCare/dp/B000V6YPAY  for $19.95 U.S. so even with shipping cost to Denmark this should work.

    OK, thanks for the information Jim, checked amazon.co.uk as well, and the price for Windows Live OneCare 2.0 is £19.98, will have it in Denmark 2 days later without any customers problem. 

     

    If I buy this CD, then I will have to make a uninstall of the current installtion, and a new using the key supplied with the CD - correct? Anything more i need to know?

    No, do not uninstall One Care. To renew just use the product key from the Cd as "Method of Payment". See this guide to renewal posted by Steve - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2908249&SiteID=2
