Business Process Flow not working properly after CRM 2015 Update 1.2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are facing one strange issue in BPF in opportunity form after CRM 2015 Update 1.2.

On click of Next Stage the BPF is not moving to next stage instead we are getting following error in the console

"Unable to get property 'firstChild' of undefined or null reference" global.ashx.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Nishant Rana

  • The error is client-side. A first thing to try is to remove temporary internet files on a client that has the problem, to see it that solves it - you may have cached copies from before the update.

Otherwise, is this specific to some clients or browsers, or does everyone get the issue ? And is it just on one BPF ?

  • Thanks for your reply David.

Yes it is only on one specific form of Opportunity. We are currently using Legacy Form Rendering, if we switch to New Form Rendering we are not getting that error.

Anynew BPF added to that form gives the same error. All users are getting that issue and across all the browser IE, Chrome and Mozilla.

  • Hi David,

We did further analysis and realized that we are not getting the same error in New Form Rendering.

However in our project we were using Legacy Form Rendering.

After trying out different things, eventually removing one of the subgrid in the hidden tab fixed the issue for us.

    Thanks,
