    I don't know if t OneCare crashing a Vista (home) component, or Vist crasing OneCare but my OneCare installation lasts about 3 - 7 days and then BITS goes down and OneCare will no longer dwnload updates.  Re-installing OneCare works....but it gets a bit annoying to go through this process......
