  • Are you posting from a smartphone? You might want to clarify.

  • I was thinking you could be more detailed and descriptive. It has been 10 years since I used Money 2002. Also, it is not clear what kind of file the "bank file" was.

  • thanks for the reply - i am downloading from my bank an *.ofx file which is an acceptable format for Money 2002.

i have deleted all reference to any "OLD" *.ofx files and tried doownloading a fresh copy of the transactions for updating Money 2002, but this does not seem to be helpful.

as i mentioned in the original request "have been using ver 2002 since new but today it will not update the bank file into the program, I can manually add a transaction I can see the bank file but will not update, is the prooblem the turn over of the year from 2013 to 2014?. the account list shows 8 transactions to be updated but no update into the main bank account or any other account."

    does this help?

  • I would try a file repair. The quick repair can be done with Money 2002 by opening Money with Start->Run and entering
"msmoney -s" without the quotes into the box.

If that does not solve you can run salv.exe from your Money 2002 install folder. Choose level 2.  This offers a slightly newer version of salv.exe: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902466 Usually picking a new name for the repaired version is a good idea.

If that does not work, there is another possibility to deal with this if these do not fix it. That would involve editing your OFX file.
