First post reported as spam - is it lost? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I posted for the first time and spent a good bit of time composing my post. The post was flagged as spam, and then I was redirected back to the forum "home page," which seems to have destroyed the post? If there is any way to recover it / diagnose why it was flagged as spam, I would very much appreciate it! Thanks!

  • You need to post a request to have your new account verified in the current verification thread here:

    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/dc4002e4-e3de-4b1e-9a97-3702387886cc/verify-account-42?forum=reportabug

The current verification thread periodically changes, but is always a sticky thread at the top of this forum:

    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=reportabug

Edit: The forum admins verify the accounts requested in the thread I linked about twice per week. In the meantime, you should be able to post in the forums, but cannot include images or hyperlinks.

  • Awesome, thanks! Just posted. Is it possible to recover my message somehow? I really would love to avoid all of that work copying / pasting command output, redacting domains & ips / etc.

Also, it's possible that domains are considered "hyperlinks," in which case my post probably wouldn't work until verified anyways.

  • Sorry, it looks like the message was intercepted before post so all was lost.

  • Sad days, thanks for the confirmation!

If it's possible to suggest feature requests / etc. somewhere, I definitely think a "drafts" area or saving rejected posts to a user's profile would be highly desirable. Getting your first post flagged/destroyed is not a pleasant first experience :)

  • You can make suggestion here.
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=suggest
but MSDN/TechNet forums will soon be migrated to QnA
    https://docs.microsoft.com/answers/index.html

If I'm composing a larger post I will usually copy it to notepad before post just in case.
