I purchased Windows Live One Care today as well as a Western Digital My Book 320GB External Hard Drive. After installing One Care, I went to configure the backup plan and location and received a message (warning) that the type of device I am using is not a recommended backup location and it wanted me to backup to DVDs instead. Why did this warning pop up? I wonder if there are conflicting programs 'cause Memeo Auto Sync and Auto Backup are installed and enabled. I backed up EVERYTHING to my external hard drive using Memeo (this was before I bought One Care later today).
Has anyone else encountered this message? Can I simply ignore it and have One Care automatically back up everything to the F:\ location (external hard drive)?
Hello Jonathan, I'm not sure why you would see that message but because you are using Memeo for backup and it is more feature rich than One Care backup I recommend turning One Care backup off.Jim
