Can't connect port 21 RRS feed

    Hey Guys/Gals

    After replacing a crashed x86 computer with x64, and reinstalling VS2012, I'm not able to publish my application to my website.

    After clicking Publish, the process ends with this error message (condensed):

    Failed to copy file. Unable to add 'Application Files' to the Web site. Can't connect to 'ftp.my_site' on port 21.

    And then the process fails. 

    So, then I though I'd use Filezilla to transfer some files and that too fails. Filezilla will connect but won't transfer any files.

    Now I've been searching the Internet for days and nothing seems like a clear and simple fix.

    Any help would be great!

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

    Please check to see if you have enough permission to write the file.

    According to your description, your issue is more related to configuration and deployment of asp.net, I suggest you repost a new thread to the following forum for a professional answer.
