WHS 2011 Dashboard Problems

Question
-
This morning the Dashboard failed to connect. It goes through the motions and after about 2 minutes it gives up and the window disappears. This happens on all my 4 computer clients. On two of the clients I uninstalled the WHS Connector programs, deleted the log folder in the ProgramData/Microsoft/Server folder (I read this somewhere) and tried to re-install after rebooting the client computer. It gets to about 95% completion having been through all the necessary screens, then reverses itself and comes up with "The Windows Home Server 2011 Connector has encountered an unexpected error. Click Close to undo most of the changes that are made to this computer." No error codes and no more information.
Can anyone tell me what is going on and how I repair it.
Many thanks

Try deleting all instances of Windows Home Server 2011 in the Registry prior to restoring clients. For some reason this helped me when I had the same problem.

I should add that the server is working properly and I can remotely connect to it via Remote Desktop Connection but this doesn't allow me to perform all the necessary functions.
Since writing this I have completely re-installed WHS2011 as a new installation but the same thing is happening to the connector software installation, it gets to about 95% completion then uninstalls itself. All my clients incidentally are running Windows 7 Professional.
Ant advice?

Same problem here. This has happened several times to me since I purchased WHS 2011 in June. And several times, I have had to uninstall the connector software, then use REGEDIT to remove all instances of Windows server, dashboard, etc. And it works again. But I am tired of having to go through this procedure on my client computers! What if I have a problem on the clients and need to restore! I purchased it from Amazon for $115, I see the price has gone down to 50 or 60 now. I am starting to see why! Who wants this aggravation?
MICROSOFT, PLEASE FIX THIS PRODUCT!!! I LOVE WHS 2011 WHEN IT IS WORKING!! Microsoft, Get in touch with me, being retired, I will work with you in trying to resolve these problems.

Found my problem was DUE TO CERTIFICATE which I corrected by going to certmgr, etc. This was caused by a power failure. When I started my EX495, the time and date were totally wrong, like Jan 1, 2002!!! So when I ran Dashboard, it checked the certificate and saw my time was out of range, so it failed but never gave me a message! IT would be very nice if DASHBOARD could give me an error message that would alert me to the invalid system time!!!! Only found out through the application event logs. So bottom line, check your server's time!!!
Apparently I have a hardware problem associated with the CMOS battery time. My ex495 is headless, so I've ordered a kit that will allow me to connect monitor and keyboard to look at and edit the BIOS to set the correct time. Interestingly problem does not occur with WHS V1.
