Plugin IOrganizationService is Rest or End RRS feed

  • Hi all,

    i have an silly question.

    Crm have Soap and Rest End point. Ithink both are part of IOrganizationService.

    i want to know can i know that plugin uses the service is an part of Soap or Rest.

    IOrganizationService service = serviceFactory.CreateOrganizationService(context.UserId);

  • Hi,
    when you connect to the organization service endpoint or create the organization service inside a plugin you are consuming a WCF service.
    The standard protocol in these cases is SOAP

  • The think to remember is that Soap and Rest end point are client side and are used with javascripts, jquery or silverlight. Plugins are server side and uses C# or VB.net.
