When I got the netbook, I joined the mshome workgroup on the Vista machine. I could click "view workgroup computers" on the netbook, see the desktop, doubleclick it, and log in with my desktop username and password. I could then use the desktop's printer and cd drive. It worked beautifully, and I can't remember doing anything more than that. I did nothing with the firewalls (Norton on the desktop, Windows on the netbook).
Now, for some reason, I suddenly can't connect. I have both computers in mshome, and can see them in "view workgroup computers" but when I doubleclick the desktop, I get a message saying that the desktop is inaccessible and that I might not have permission to access that resource. I am mystified. I have turned firewalls off and back on, without helping the situation. I would appreciate any advice forum users might have.
