Microsoft Certified Seal for Windows Mobile Hardware RRS feed

  • Question

  •

How about a new Microsoft Windows Mobile Certified seal for devices to improve Windows Mobile brand name, force improvements on hardware and give consumers the peace of mind to know that devices were tested in Microsoft Labs and meet minimum specs to function as expected when making a purchasing decision, kind of like a Microsoft Certified Computer to know it will work out of the box with Windows without any additional drivers.

A few examples (I'm sure other people can add to it)

    Build Quality

    WiFi Reception

    Signal Reception

Sound Quality/Volume (Ringer, In Call, Alarms...)

128 Megs or more Program Memory

    VGA Display

Screen Quality (Outdoors Daylight Visibility) and Sensitity...

    Bluetooth Compatibility

    Battery Life

If this exists then it needs to be revised as I've seen some pretty bad devices out there, don't make the assumption of what we want, ask us Smile Also, let manufactures put the seal on the boxes...so not to ruin a beautiful looking device
