I recently had a complete shutdown of my Gateway computer, and was forced to reinstall everything including my Windows 7 Home Premium. I've managed to reinstall most of my programs, and the computer was operating fine until I got a notice to check for
Genuine Windows. I clicked on the check box, and now am told my Windows isn't genuine. I still have the product key but no CD. Is there any way to tell the computer that the same product that was legitimate for six months still is? Or is there some other problem
that suddenly made it illegitimate? Is that's so, what are my options?
